Conclusion On Shutting Down - Computer is accessed with one or more fan to keep its environment cool and clear. Accumulation of dust and dirt and alot of heat inhibit the computer to work properly.

I am annoyed from last few days because my computer is shutting down randomly alot as I cannot do any work properly. As I do some work on it , it shut downs anytime and whatever I do, I lose it all due to shutting down of computer. My colleagues say that it is perhaps due to heating o computer which might arose because of improper working of fan. Can I believe in the fact that shutting down of computer depends on the irregular function of fan or I should suspect any other factor?

Does it related to fan that my computer is shutting down randomly

Definitely random shutting down of computer is likely to dependent over fan. Dust and dirt are more possible reasons to trigger the improper working of fan as well as excess heating of computer possibly lead to shutting it down which is again related to the improper fan-working. Dust-bunnies are the most common reason to block the working of fan.

Dust-bunnies are light, wavy clumps of dust and dirt which form and accumulate around the computer system and block the way for airflow. This causes improper airation in computer and causes accumulation of heat around it, sub-sequently causing frequent shutting down of computer.

Secondly accumulation of dirt clots can also stop the fan from working if happens over the fan. but there is nothing to be worried because to solve the problem is quit easy as you can do it yourself. What you have to do is listed below-

  • First you should check-out for the formation of dust-bunnies around your computer. For this simply shut down and unplug your computer. Then open the case of your computer and gently clean it with brush. You may also use vaccum softly and carefully, if required.
  • Then replace the case and plug the computer.Turn your computer on and make it sure that fan is running . If its not so you need to check them for replace as it might has damaged due to dirt-clumps.
  • Keep your computer in the room having proper air-flow and ventilation. This will help it to be cool.
  • Vaccum around your computer regularly, specially in its back side.

Although shutting down of computer randomly anytime due to the formation of dust bunnies and consequently irregular functioning of fan is a serious problem which matter to the lose of data but things can be handled easily by little care. I too was caught by same kind of incident a few days before but I could overcome the problem as I knew the solution.
