Conclusion On Deleted Email - Deleted emails may or may not be recovered from email account it totally depend on the setting of email program and email account for which they are configured.

I want to recover my deleted emails, is it possible that anyhow i can recover it? I know there are various tools available to recover data from hard drive. Do same thing availaible for emails also? Or if i want to recover my emails what are the proper way of it? I am using outlook and thunderbird email programs for managing my email in my computer.

When you delete any file on computer in actual the file location from the operating system is removed, the data is still save in the hard disk, just you can’t see the data file, because location of all data in hard drive saved by operating system in the memory index and when you delete only the path of the data has been removed from the operating system. As we know that every email program are using the different algorithms to save or delete the specific file or email from the email program so it may or may not be possible to recover the emails from email program in the computer.

As i saw on some of the web interface that they provide you the option that configure the email account at which you can delete the specific email from the web server, If you configure the email account for this setting then it might not be possible that you can recover your emails from web interface anyway.

Best option to set the configuration to “Don’t delete my emails even if i have downloaded it from email program.”

It is possible that the email provider can delete your incoming emails if your email storage have been full. So always check How much storage is left for incoming emails.

Now here we will take a look on some of the ways from which we can recover the emails from email programs.

• Just like when you delete any file from computer and it goes into the recycle bin same thing can apply in email programs too.
• While using the recovery tools like “I care you” may be able to recover your emails. just like data recovery tools recover the data of computer. you may choose the option “recover the email” or “recover the data” on computer or whatever tools have provided in email program to you.
• You can manage your email configuration from the web interface (Email account) so when the email automatically downloaded from your web based email account to the email program so email provider like windows live hotmail, yahoo mail or gmail may not be able to delete the emails from the web server.
• Check on the email setting on web interface of email account is there any ways to recover the emails or not.
