I want to know what is that botnet and zombie means? From sometime i have got some questions from my friend where they are saying that my computer now going to become a member of zombie. What that term botnet and zombie mean?

Botnet as i said earlier that a technique used by spammers to send lots and lots of email the quantity of the email may be in millions. And in botnet technique there is very important role of zombie which is your own computer. Here now we will know how the all process work around with botnet.

• Spammer used one software which is build with the technique of botnet, now this software used to send virus and malware to the other computer on network which is connected with the specific computer at where the software installed.
• Those virus try to infect the other computer and if they successful for this task then infected computer known as Zombie, Now those computer also send virus to other computer which is connected on network with the Zombie computer.
• So the number of infected comupter increased very widely in short period if time.
• Now all the zombie connected with the specific computer at which botnet software is installed.
• Now when spammer reach the number of zombie computer with which they can send lots of email.
• With remote connection main computer at which software of botnet installed tell them to perform some task and that task is to send spam email.
• Now those zombie send number of spam email to the computer or email address on which they use to commanded by the software of botnet.

That is how the process of botnet work with infecting other computer which called Zombie.

How to prevent or protect computer with botnet and zombie infection

You can easily prevent your computer from botnet and zombie infection. Here are the ways which you can use to protect yourself from these malwares or virus.

Use any good anti virus and scan all the hard drive with this anti virus and if you see any virus like “procexp.exe” or any other then delete it manually if the anti virus doesn’t provide the facility to delete it automatically.

Always enable your firewall so you can see is there any thing wrong going on your network or not.

Keep up to date your windows operating system with installing regular updates from automatic update option.

If you are using any email client like outlook or thunderbird then always enable the spam guard feature of the email client.
