Conclusion On 16 bit color - There is a problem to get some games sometime that they require some different bit of color other than from your computer has. The problem is still easy to fix.
I wanted to download a game last day from internet but the process could not be success because the game required 16bit colir and my computer has 24bit color. What should I do in order to have the game downloaded? Is it possible for me to download the game anyway?
The matter is a first to be understand what is 16bit and 24bit color and how do they differ from one another. The answer is quit simple that the screen of computer is made up of 'pixels'. Each pixel has it's different set of color. Previously only black and white colors were set for the pixels but now there is a wide variety of colors to set for the pixel. The number of colors included in the pixel determines the bit of the color of the screen.
The purpose of creating the game in any particular bit of color might be to decrease the complexicity of the game which can make it easy to play and operate.
There are two solutions to fix the problem of varying colors. They are as follows-
- You can change your computer's color depth from 24 bit to 16 bit colors.
- You can adjust the shortcut to start the color code program automatically.
Now we know simply that the varying color bits depends over the number of colors set in pixels any particular screen while it needs to manipulate the image on the screen not only just stored under the pixels. But the color requirement of the game is not a big issue to return the game or creating problem for downloading it while the problem resides on the installation of the game which you can fix simply by using above techniques.
I was getting some barriers to get one of my favorite game but I resolved the problem by changing the color bit of the computer.
