I am not comfortable to work with the touchpad of my laptop. I decided to access a mouse to assist me instead of laptop’s touchpad. - Right click on the control pannel to get a ‘MOUSE’ option. It will even allow you to disable the touchpad by displaying the options like ‘disable buttons’, ‘disable device’, for the touchpad.
- Secondly, your laptop might provide you some different type of configuration to change the setting regarding your laptop’s touchpad.what you can do is to reduce the sensitivity of your touchpad and other similar kind of operations.
- It might be also possible that your laptop’s control panel does not provide you any option regarding the touchpad at all. It generally take the touchpad as a tradditional mouse and nothing else.
- At last you might be much unfortunate to not get the option for turning off the touchpad.
In the case you are unable to configure the disability of touchpad of your laptop you and you terribly need to disable it, you can open your laptop carefully and disable it physically.
So now I would like to say it totally depends on the manufacturer of your laptop whether how easy or complex it is for you to disable the touchpad of your laptop. I am lucky enough to have the option of ‘turning off touchpad’ on my Dell’s laptop.
