Conclusion On Remove printer document - Blocking of printer queue due to any document stuck in the queue is seen many times. It seems to be printed but does not happen like that at all.
I am annoyed due to a document stucked in my printer queue and I tried much to remove the document from my printer queue but this is not working. I am unable to print any other document from my printer due to this problem. I tried it deleting but it stayed there only. I tried to print it out, does not work. I re-started the computer, re-started the printer, unplugged the cables but the document is not disappearing. Can I be able to overcome this problem? What I need to do to remove the document from my printer’s queue?
Printing of any document through a printer takes place by the management of the print queue. When you instruct your printer to print any document it does not at the time go to the printer directly but it is first queued in the print queue for the management of sequenced printing means whatever you selected to print first will be printed first and the documents which are selected or printing later will be queued behind the previouslu selected document. This all is managed by the ‘print spooler’ service.
- You need to click on the control panel of your computer and open it up. You will get an option ‘printer’ there and will find ‘print queue’ under the print option. If you are able to see the document in the print queue so you can remove it from there by just selecting the option ‘cancel’.
- But two of the barriers can stop you to remove the document from print queue- might the cancel option not work or you would not get the document queud in the print queue.
- So here is the solution to remove the document from the print queue manually in case the printer is connected with your computer.
Right click on the ‘My computer’ and click on the option ‘manage’. A dialog box will be opened in which you have to click over the ‘services’ and find the ‘print spooler’. Right click on ‘print spooler’ and select the properties. Stop the print spooler by clicking on the option ‘stop’. Now apply windows explorer to the folder C:/Windows/System32/Spool/Printers. Delete the document of this folder. Go back to the print spooler, click on the ‘start’ and turn on your printer.
This way I was able to remove the stucked document from the print queue of my printer. Now you will too get the solution of the problem. Check by printing something through your printer.
